About Me

I’m Tony Nichols, a rock climber based out of Golden Colorado. My passion in life is climbing, and my favorite type of climbing is big wall climbing. Vertical Camping if you will! This is a space for me to share those stories with you and hopefully provide some inspiration for your next adventure, or at the very least some comedy!

I’m just a regular guy who works 40 hours a week and tries to get out as much as I can within the parameters of those obligations and restraints.

  1. Really enjoyed reading your trip reports.
Trip reports are a great source of stoke and inspiration. Thank you for taking the time to write yours up and post them here on your site (which I found through Mountainproject’s trip report section).

Also it was really cool to see that you have an Octapod. Not many of those around. How do you like it over all? Are you able to sleep fully stretched out on it? If I were shorter I would want to go with an Octapod or Trapezium. But for my height at 6’ the D4 Double or Delta 2P make the most sense. I’m really thankful that John Middendorf returned to designing portaledges.
